Dr. Richard Phillips of International Paper to speak at CPBIS Distinguished Lecture Series

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, February 27, 2004 -- (PRNewswire)-- This seminar was given on February 27, 2004 by Dr. Richard B. Phillips, senior vice president - technology for International Paper from 11:00-12:30 pm EST. Dr. Phillips spoke on "Imperatives for Manufacturing Success in the Paper Industry".

Dr. Phillips states, "Emerging trends are challenging the U.S. paper industry's global leadership in paper and board production. The industry can revitalize itself though better trade policy, marketing, branding, enhanced cost competitiveness, and other strategies." His lecture will focus on the top 10 imperatives that he believes are vital for the industry to successfully compete against other media and other nations.
